Gordon and Marilyn Beck started farming what is now Beck’s Harvest House and Orchard in 1987, purchasing the land 1989. We started selling fresh u-pick and picked fruits, country gifts, homemade pies and ice cream. The business grew slow at first, but through hard work and perseverance by the Beck’s, growth continued throughout the years.    In 1996 the business had finally out grown the small 100-year-old barn on the property. That’s when we started the project of building what is now the current Harvest House. 

 

Initially we only built the shell of the building, but over the next few years we finished the inside. Today the building hosts a gift shop filled with unique gift ideas as well as gourmet food items, a wine shop stocked with excellent wines from down the road to around the world and unique fruit wines and beers, a kitchen where pies, turnovers, rolls, doughnuts and other goodies are prepared daily. We built patios and decks for our customers to enjoy their lunch, an ice-cream cone, a bottle of wine or special events where they have a view over looking the orchard and Mt. Spokane, and of course a bounty of fresh quality fruits and vegetables.
